First, Avicenna's being Muslim is regarded as proven and axiomatic, and then his sectarian belief is dealt with. Since his ancestors were Ismailite Muslims, some regard him so. However, his doctrinal as well as political statements, direct or indirect, prove that he was a twelve Shiite Muslim

Mulla Sadra and Principality of Being
Dr. Mohammad Mohammad-Rezaii
Associate professor University of Tehran, Qom Campus
This essay will explain the doctrine of principality of being which it is one basic principles Sadra's philosophy and point at trace of it in philosophy of illumination.
Unlike of familiar view, author believes in that Sohrawardi does not accept principality of quiddity but also he is serious proponent of principality of being, the same reason which Mulla Sadra and his followers put forward upon principality of being find in view of Sohrawardi. Also author proves through causal relation in lights with Sohrawardi that cause confers existence or being to its effect rather than quiddity and itself is reason on principality and gradation of being.
Then, he points out the mentally-posited of being with Sohrawardi and concluded that by which is meant philosophical secondary intelligible which accepted by Sadra.

In intend to depict the discussion on unity of the existence and its gradual gradation in a new form, which is a mixture of illuminist, mystical and transcendental schools. I am going to explain the spirit of pure Islamic monotheism as well as the way of achieving immortality in the existence which is the very effacements into unity. I want to clarify the supreme status of illuminist and transcendental sages and the great contribution that Muhy Al-Din Al-Arabi and other Islamic mystics made to its malerilization

This paper begins with the question "what is the grand divine name?" there are two types of answers to this question:
a) The prevalent view that it is a more linguistic form of the divine names;
b) Some hold that common names are just designations of names, and that the reality of names pertain to names proper, hence the prophet of Islam is the most sublime of the divine names. This view is held by such scholars as Imam Khomeini, Allameh Tabatabaie, Allameh Hasan-zadeh Amoli.
Cognizance of each of the divine names is depended on one's reaching the reality of those names. This is attained by mystic training and practice. In support of the views discussed, some hadiths from Usul Al-Kafi, Al- Tawhid, and Mesbah Al-Ahari'a are noted as well as Samat prayer. There are some poems by Mawlawi and hafiz, too

Causality is one of the fundamental topics which underline many other topics in Islamic philosophy such that its rejection means rejection of any other branch of Islamic scholarship
Granted that acceptance of the principle of causality has led on to controversies as to its various aspects, it has not means its rejection at all
David Hume has been one of the western scholars who raised challenges against the principle of causality and tried to reject it
The present paper deals with some philosophical issues of causality and Hume's arguments followed by their critiques

The subject of this paper is an important ethico-philosophical issue. First some philosophers' definitions are provided, followed by its importance as remarked in the Quran and hadiths. Next, conditions of realization of Gods' contentment, the human being are discussed. Answering the questions raised by those who deny the above issue, the arguments put forward reject their ideological bases. Else where the benefits of belief in the divine- determined destiny is explained of which mental health and stability are their effects. Finally, it is argued that the high station of reaching such contentment is not at variance with supplications, encouragement to do the good, prohibition of doing the evil, and working to earn one's living, rather, it can be incentive for them all.

This article deals with the development of the issue of general propositions with a particular regard to the theory of ideas as viewed by Russell. Also, studied is that whether it existed in his earlier and later works, with any theoretical change if any
There are some views at work here: 1) general propositions are nothing but names; 2) general propositions have real existence, as platonic ideas do; and 3) general propositions find expression in individuals, not independently on their own, Russell's critiques of the nominalists indicate his divergence from their views, and there is a platonic inclination in his earlier works, while later on gets closer to Hume in his positivistic standpoints, declaring the issue of general propositions as nonsense. In the third phase and – his last works, he turns back to his initial views. He believes that pure empiricism is no longer reliable and sticks to the theory of general propositions. Not with standing, his ultimate view is at variance with that of Plato, hence he logically accept general names or those which signify relation

Studies of existence are terms witch metaphysics intended to discover and define them. Throughout the history of metaphysics, all philosophers have held that the subject matter of philosophy is existence, namely, the being, and regarded it us the focal point of their discussions. Among them, two have placed greater emphasis on the question of existence, and argued that philosophers have since formed on the existent, not existence, hence inadvertently ignoring the latter. Mulla Sadra and Martin Heideaer have come up with brand new insights about existence. This study is concerned with a study of their views

In this article on the basis of demarcation or limitation which is one of important subjects in philosophy of science, efforts have been made to space the subject as one of the main topics of geography
Then by presenting philosophers and scientist's views and opinions about meaning and essence of space, it seems as one of the intrinsic characters of objects and also equivalent to the geometric dimensions of material options which is first, considered completely visible; secondly, recognition of space seemed to be dependent on the recognition to objects which it caused that space would be changeable to material options and on this base, geography which is space science, would be lay on the rank of natural and experiential science
Since all the spaces are dependent and covered by law and stable and universal foundations, so geography is considered as a benefiting science
