In this paper, three bases of rationalism, individualism, and reductionism will be examined. Since relativism may also be raised at the level of religious ethics, secular ethics will remove the first possibility out of discussion. As one of  the foundations of relativism, the minimalistic rationalism holds that the moral stimulus of the human being is not intellect, rather  emotion. Reason is simply  a prudent instrument under the control of desire. Here, t rationality disappears and the authority of all moral theories is destroyed. In individualism, all humans are equal and have the right to be free to determine ethical values. In this case, the "other" isn’t important at all. Non-awareness of all personal desires and the lack of solution as behavioral contradictions occur are the defeciencies of this foundation.  Reductionism as another foundation regards the human in one aspect and reduces the morality to subjective things and it serves ethics just for the purpose of the biological needs. Not only this foudnation destroys authority itself, but also  denies the lower values and needs by negating the higher values نظر به اینکه نسبی‌گرایی اخلاقی ریشه در نسبیت معرفت دارد، پرداختن به مبانی معرفتی آن ضرورت دارد. در این نوشتار سه مبنای عقل‌گرایی، فردگرایی و تقلیل‌گرایی بررسی خواهد شد. از آنجا که نسبی‌گرایی شاید در سطح اخلاق دینی نیز مطرح شود، با قید اخلاق سکولار امکان اول از بحث خارج می‌شود. از میان مبانی نسبی‌گرایی، عقل‌گرایی حداقلی بر آن است که محرک اخلاقی انسان عقل نیست، بلکه احساس است. عقل صرفاً ابزاری محاسبه‌گر و در خدمت میل خواهد بود، در این مبنا، با کمرنگ شدن عقلانیت، اعتبار تمامی دیدگاه‌های اخلاقی از بین می‌رود. بر اساس فردگرایی همۀ انسان‌ها به نحو برابر و آزادانه حق زندگی و تعیین ارزش‌های اخلاقی خود را دارند. در این مبنا «دیگری» در حاشیه قرار می‌گیرد. عدم آگاهی از تمامی امیال فردی و نبود راهکار به هنگام بروز تعارض از نقص‌های این مبناست.  تقلیل‌گرایی به‌عنوان مبنای دیگر، با نفی خیر اعلی یا حقیقت اخلاقی، نگاه تک‌بعدی به انسان دارد و اخلاق را به امری ذهنی و در جهت رفع نیازهای زیستی انسان فرومی‌کاهد. این مبنا، با نادیده گرفتن جنبۀ روحانی انسان، حقیقت اخلاقی را توهم می‌داند، در حالی‌که با تک‌بعدی‌نگری هم اصالت تقلیل‌گرایی را به‌عنوان یک دیدگاه معتبر زیر سؤال می‌برد و هم با نفی ارزش برتر اخلاقی، ارزش‌های فرعی و زیستی انسان را نیز از او می‌گیرد. https://jpht.ut.ac.ir/article_66814_0af8c203cd00eeeede4c74899b3843b9.pdf
